LiveWire

LiveWire is a wire harness software design tool that is used by engineers to save time while building cables or wire harnesses.

The brand uses some very vibrant colors and it was important that the right shades were being used. This allows the colors to keep their eye-catching ability without losing their legibility. I also had to consider if the post was image based or text focused. I made sure to that the neon green was being used for both light and dark backgrounds. I also made sure that there many options of posts that varied in text length, image size, singular slides and carousels.

Social Media

They asked for a variety of social media templates to be posted on their LinkedIn. I created styled image frames, seamless carousels, and posts that were centered around copy or images. Templates were made in Adobe Illustrator and included multiple variations of color.

Seamless Carousels

Social carousels often have a set slide count and since they did not give slide number specifics, I made this template to be a repeatable grid so that they can add or cut slides based on what the post needs.

Styled Frames

In this case, I was considering a image-focused post instead of focusing on text. This allows LiveWire to share an image without neglecting the brand. In some cases, I left a small space for a caption or text along with the image. I also made sure to include multiple color options for variety.

Carousels

Unlike the first carousel, this slide of templates includes a timeline at the top that references what slide you are on in the deck. It is specific to 4 slides. I also considered space for an image below the text.

White Paper Template

Designed a reusable white paper template for LiveWire, a wire harness design software used by engineers to streamline cable and harness development. Because the audience is highly technical, the design needed to prioritize clarity and credibility over decoration — a clean typographic hierarchy, consistent treatment for diagrams and callouts, and generous white space to keep dense technical content scannable. Built as a template rather than a one-off document, the system lets LiveWire maintain a consistent, professional look across future white papers without starting from scratch each time.

Constraints

One challenge with White Papers is that it is extremely text heavy and hierarchy is very important. Another is that it needed to accommodate technical diagrams, screenshots, or data. And it also had to work as a repeatable template for multiple future white papers, not just one document

Solutions

To ensure that the text guided the viewer’s eye from the main title down to supporting details, I varied font sizes, bold colors/highlights and applied generous amounts of negative space. And to ensure that it was reuable, I left space for case studies, graphs, images and more.
